Did Nate Appleman diss San Francisco or Does San Francisco have an attitude?

My comment on Michael Bauer’s blog post about Nate Appleman possible disrespecting of San Francisco

He couldn’t wait to get out of SF. Maybe the publicity got to his head and thought the grass was a lot greener on the East coast. Whatever San Francisco thinks of Appleman is its business regardless of what good or bad does to him. Appleman still is entitled to a few seconds to have an opinion of his own about everything and anything including San Francisco no matter what good things happened to him here. I don’t know if anyone has noticed but San Francisco is an extremely political city and the food business here is awash in politics. Maybe all he said was San Francisco is so political that you do this and this and they go Wow because it is politically correct not because it is anything else. HE SAN FRANCISCO IS ABOUT LABELS AND NOT SUBSTANCE??? And he doesn’t know yet if NY is about labels or something else? Did he not. We should have an anti (anti-establishment) newspaper or news blog so issues are seen in more than one view and are clearer. His comments are hard to understand because San Francisco has one damn way of seeing everything and that is that.
